Review Global Asset Allocation: A Survey of the World’s Top Asset Allocation Strategies
by MEB FABER
Description
This begins with a brief but detailed history of the chronological performance of well-known assets such as bonds, cash, and stocks. It considers the implications inflation does on the money. The author then analyzes how diversifying assets can lessen the intense drawdowns of risky assets.
From an overview of stocks, Faber proceeds to examine the historical performance of thirteen assets by calculating its returns since 1973. These portfolios include the Endowment portfolio and more.
Like Meb Faber’s other books, this one contains great content with detailed examination and analysis of various assets. Readers can definitely get insight from Faber’s writing, especially when it comes to analyzing the rate of returns of well-known stocks. Like his other books, this one is brimming with insight into the trading industry. Some of these insights include a bit of advice to not hold cash for the long-term, which is dedicated to a one-chapter discussion. The book contains much critical advice on trading and various assets, which is valuable enough on itself.
